Senior Web Applications Developer

This is an opportunity for a driven, self-motivated individual to join a small, dynamic company. The position will allow you to have significant input into the technical direction of the company.

Role:

• Overall responsibility for providing development, quality assurance and customer support on multiple web based applications

• Responsibility for full cycle development on technical projects.

• Ensure product is designed, built and delivered on time and to specification

• Write functional & technical specifications

• Code changes based on technical specifications

• Responsible for system and user acceptance testing

• Manage and support releases

Essential:

- Web technologies using Java including servlets and presentation tiers (JSP, Struts, HTML5, XML)

- Client-side technologies primarily JavaScript and AJAX

- Advanced SQL

- Apache and Tomcat

- In depth RDBMS design concepts

- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills

- 5+ years experience as a Software Developer

Desirable:

- Database administration – MySQL

- Networking experience

- Experience using HTML5 Canvas

- Experience in training users on use of software

- Experience within the Dental or medical sector

- Experience with order management or workflow solutions

- Experience of Unix/Linux
