Software Quality Engineer & Migration Specialist

We are looking for a self-motivated professional to join our Development and Customer Success Teams to work on our cloud based product suite. The successful candidate will be involved with both Quality Assurance and Migrations ensuring that our Customers’ demands, standards and expectations are fully met.

Responsibilities – (Key Areas)

  • Quality Assurance
  • Functional Testing
  • UI Testing
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Assist in implementing and improving on current test processes to prevent bugs from occurring
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Finding and updating incorrect language usage and formatting errors
  • Ensuring features make business sense to an end user
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. Developers and Customer Success Teams) to identify system requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Work with customers in gathering business requirements for data migration needs.
  • Good understanding of the database model
  • Perform migration and testing of data from one system to another.
  • Assist in designing, planning and managing the data migration process.
  • Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities
Job Requirements – (Knowledge, Skills, Experience)
Required Skills
  • 3+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance & Migration fields
  • Third Level Education (or higher) in a relevant IT Discipline
  • Experience in software development
  • Experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Understanding of common database technologies.
  • Experience working with MySQL database design & architecture, administration implementation and management.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects, with multiple clients as well as the pressures of managing to required timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, as well as ability to work autonomously
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills with ability to juggle simultaneous projects and deadlines
  • Works well in a collaborative and consensus-oriented team environment
  • Strong sense of customer focus and the importance of the voice of the customer
The following skills would also be an advantage, but are not essential:
  • Java based web technologies including, Spring, JQuery, JSON, JSP, JSTL
  • Web technologies including HTML5 and CSS
  • Experience in workflow solutions, healthcare management and patient centric applications
  • Experience with business intelligence and other reporting tools is a plus
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012
